Travel Vaccinations
If you are going abroad for any length of time, it is wise to seek advice on which vaccinations and health measures you may need.
Pre-Travel Assessment
All patients requesting travel vaccinations must complete a pre-travel assessment before booking an appointment.
To start this process:
Contact us through our triage form
- Select "I have an admin or routine care request"
- Enter your details
- Select "Routine care appointment"
- From the drop down list, select "Pre travel appointment"
Our admin team will see this and send you a travel questionnaire to complete via SMS
Important
If you are traveling within the next 4 weeks, please go directly to a private travel clinic, as we cannot accommodate short-notice requests.
NHS-Funded Vaccinations
The following travel vaccines are available free of charge on the NHS:
- Polio (given as a combined diphtheria/tetanus/polio vaccine)
- Typhoid
- Hepatitis A
- Cholera
Additional Travel Health Advice
If you require other vaccines not provided under the NHS, these will be discussed with you during your appointment. Please attend a private travel clinic for the following vaccinations :
- Hepatitis B
- Japanese encephalitis
- Meningitis vaccines
- Rabies
- Tick-borne encephalitis
- Tuberculosis (TB)
- Yellow fever
Malaria Prevention
If you are traveling to a country with a high incidence of malaria, antimalarial medication will be discussed during your consultation. You will need to obtain antimalarial tablets from a pharmacy.
