Dr Velani graduated from The University of Nottingham Medical School in 2017. She has carried out her postgraduate training in various medical and surgical specialties as well as emergency medicine, psychiatry and obstetrics and gynaecology. 

Since completing her general practice training in London, she has been working at Mayfield Surgery and is currently the cancer care lead for the practice. She has a passionate interest in lifestyle and preventative health, currently holding a diploma with the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and enjoys practicing a person-centred holistic approach with her patients.

Outside of work she enjoys her regular reformer pilates sessions, going on hikes and exploring new places through travel.
