Clinics and Services

Counselling Services

A counsellor attends our surgery regularly and appointments can be made after consultation with the doctor.

Big White Wall Referral

Our doctors can also offer a referral to the Big White Wall programme. It is a website which is completely anonymous, offers 24 hour 7 day a week access to feedback from counsellors online and forums which some people find helpful to chat with others regarding various problems from stress and anxiety to mild depression. Please book an appointment with any doctor for further information.

Disease Management

We recommend that patients with long term diseases, such as Diabetes, Asthma and heart disease are seen regularly so we can monitor their condition. Our specially trained nurses can see you in their clinics.

We recommend that all women between the age of 25 and 65 years have regular cervical smears. Also that those over 50 years take up the invitation for Breast screening every 3 years.

Family Planning and Sexual Health

Any doctor and also our nurse can see you for advice about contraception, including emergency contraception. We can fit and remove contraceptive coils at the surgery.

Maternity

You can now self-refer as soon as you know that you are pregnant to hospital of your choice. Filling out your self referral promptly, will ensure you receive maternity care that takes into account all your health needs and preferences.

From 8 weeks of pregnancy or within 2 weeks of your referral you can expect to receive two appointments:

  • Your 'booking assessment' appointment with a midwife
  • An ultrasound scan appointment

Antenatal and preconception advice is available at the surgery. We will provide care throughout the pregnancy, arrange for your delivery in hospital and carry out a post-natal check 6 weeks after delivery. A double appointment is recommended for antenatal check ups.

Baby Clinic

Your newborn baby should be brought in for a check up with the doctor when he/she is 8 weeks old. This check up also includes their 1st immunisations which the practice nurse will administer.

Please note 8 week immunisations can not be given without baby having their 8 week check with the GP first.

We typically have appointments on Monday afternoons with Dr Bloch and our practice nurse to accomodate this, but occasionally other days are available.  It is important to take your baby to the SureStart Roehampton Clinic to be weighed less than a week before the appointment and also to bring your baby's red book with you.

First Contact Practitioner (Physio)

This service is for patients who have joint, muscle and/or nerve pain. If you have a problem that affects your neck, back, joints or muscles you are able to directly see a First Contact Practitioner (FCP) instead of a GP.

Long Term Conditions - Proactive Care Clinic

We have a clinic at the surgery which specialises in seeing patients with Long Term Health Conditions.

This clinic is designed to focus on a patient's particular needs based on their particular health conditions.

Patients will be invited to attend a 30 minute appointment with a GP.

NHS Health Check

If you would like to book an NHS Health Check and you are aged between 40 and 74 and do not have any pre-exiting medical conditions.

Please contact the surgery on 020 8780 5650 to book an appointment with our Health Care Assistant.

Social Prescriber

One's health is affected by more than just physical harm to the body. Factors such as stress, unemployment, debt, loneliness, lack of education and support in early childhood, insecure housing and discrimination can affect 30 to 55% of our health outcomes. This is why the concept of ‘social prescribing’ has been introduced by the NHS to provide an integrated and holistic approach to healthcare.

In the UK, one in five GP appointments is related to wider social needs rather than medical issues. Social prescribers (also called social prescribing link workers) work together with GP practices to ensure that the wider needs of patients are addressed. They connect patients to groups, activities and services in their communities to meet their social, emotional and practical needs that affect their health and wellbeing. They are the bridge between your GP and all the non-healthcare services available in your community.

Any member of your GP practice team may suggest a referral to a social prescriber. A social prescriber will then have an appointment with you to discuss your situation, assess your needs and advise you of support available in your community.  You can talk to your social prescriber about any non-medical issue including debt, loneliness, education, discrimination etc. and they will be able to link you to the right services to support you. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
