Advice For Travellers
If you are going abroad for any length of time it is wise to seek advice on which vaccinations and any health measures needed.
Some treatment courses need to be given over several months, so you must contact the surgery 8 weeks before you are due to travel. If you leave it later than 8 weeks to contact us we will endeavour to find out what immunisation you need but we cannot guarantee we will be able to give the vaccinations and you will be asked to go to a commercial travel clinic. There is a charge of £10.00 per person for vaccine certificate.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the Fit For Travel website.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Travel Health Questionnaire
To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form before coming to see the nurse.
